Nacha Ortiz, 99, of Avondale, AZ passed away on April 22, 2012 at her residence. She was born in Chihuahua, Mexico on July 31, 1912 to Rogelio and Julia Ortiz.  Nacha is survived by her daughter, Rachel (Albert) Herrera; son, Salvador Payan; 9 grandchildren, Salvador Payan III, Norma Hanks, John A Payan, Bonnie Rivera, April Perce, Crystal Herrera, Albert Herrera Jr., Francesca Herrera,  Alyssia Herrera, 14 great-grandchildren and a very special niece that was like a daughter to  her, Rosalie Martinez, also known a Patsy  and her son.  Mrs. Ortiz was preceded in death by her parents, Julia and Rogelio Ortiz; daughter-in-law, Mary Jane; daughter, Socorro Corona (Sukie); brothers, Raul and John Ortiz; and grandson, Richard Payan.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 26 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at Avenidas Funeral Chapel in Old Town Avondale.
