Gilbert Moreno Cons, 67, of Avondale, passed away at his home on August 12, 2017.  He was born on July 19, 1950 to Celso Gonzalez Cons and Beatriz Moreno.  Gilbert was a lifelong resident of Arizona, and worked in the Aerospace industry as a parts fabricator. Gilbert was definitely a home town sports supporter, especially baseball.  Gilbert graduated from Agua Fria High School in 1969, where he played for two baseball state championship teams. He was known to many as a social man, party planner, dancer, great cook, and storyteller.  He will be remembered most by those around him for his extremely giving nature, and his love for his daughter, family, and friends.

Gilbert is survived by his partner of many years, Esther; 1 daughter, Natalie (Charles); 2 sisters, Andrea & Lupe (Marcos); and also 1 brother, Celso Jr (Angie).

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 22 beginning at 9:30am at St. John Vianny Catholic Church, located at 539 E La Pasada Blvd in Goodyear.  A Funeral Mass will follow the visitation, beginning at 11:00am.

Librado Reyna Jr, 51, of Avondale, passed away on June 12, 2017 at Abrazo West Campus Hospital in Goodyear.  He was born on April 2, 1966, in Phoenix, Arizona to Librado Reyna Sr & Irene Luna Perez.  Librado worked in the gravel industry as a Loader Operator.

Librado is survived by his wife, Sandra Ortiz; 2 daughters, Monica Reyna & Sabrina Ortiz; 2 sons, Librado Reyna III & Gilberto Ortiz; 4 sisters, Irene Hernandez, Lisa Campos, Maria Larios & Rosie Valenzuela; 4 brothers, Tommy Reyna, Jesse Murillo, Richard Perez & Juan Perez; and also 5 grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Irene Perez.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 20 starting at 10:00am at La Mision Asamblea De Dios (Jubilee Center), located at 11147 West Buckeye Road in Avondale.  A service will follow the visitation, starting at 11:00am, also at La Mision.  Interment will immediately follow the service, at Louis B Hazelton Memorial Cemetery, located at 23100 West Broadway Road in Buckeye.

Jennifer Gerlaugh, 51, of Avondale, passed away on April 18, 2017 in Glendale.  Born on December 5, 1965, in McNary, Arizona, she is survived by her parents, William & Eva Delamater Sr.  Jennifer worked in customer service, and was incredibly self-less and extremely hardworking.  She raised her daughter on her own, and did so with grace and overwhelming love.  Jennifer and her daughter, Alexis, attended the Palm Valley Church of Avondale.   Jennifer believes that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven for eternity.

Jennifer is preceded in death by her sister, Jody L. Delamater.  She is survived by 1 daughter, Alexis; her parents, William Delamater Sr & Eva Delamater; 2 sisters, Nancy J. Delamater Saggio (Joseph J Saggio) of Peoria & Christine Smedes of Gilbert; 2 brothers, William Delamater Jr of Prescott Valley & Frank Delamater (Jennifer R. Delamater) of Prescott Valley; as well as numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 27 at 1:00pm at Avenidas Funeral Chapel, located at 522 East Western Avenue in Old Town Avondale.

Kevin Arias, 30, of Goodyear, passed away on March 4, 2017 in Buckeye.  He was born on November 5, 1986 in San Jose, California to Guadalupe & Jesus Arias.  Kevin moved to Arizona in 1999, and was a machinery operator for Holsum Bakery.  He had also been in United State Navy for 4 years.

Kevin is survived by his wife, Karla; 1 daughter, Karla “Itzy”; 2 sons, Kristian & Kaleb; his parents, Guadalupe & Jesus; 1 sister, Terry Clark; and also 1 brother, Oscar. 

A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 12 starting at 5:00pm, at the family residence, located at 22451 West Lower Buckeye Road in Buckeye.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 13 at 10:00am at St. Henry’s Catholic Church, located at 24750 West Lower Buckeye Road in Buckeye.  A visitation will take place prior to the Mass, starting at 9:00am.  Graveside service will immediately follow the Mass at his final resting place at the Louis B. Hazelton Memorial Cemetery, located at 23100 West Broadway Road in Buckeye. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 10:00am at Avenidas Funeral Chapel, located at 522 East Western Avenue in Old Town Avondale.

Sylvia Folks, 45, of Avondale, passed away on March 2, 2017 at home after a long battle with cancer.  She was born on May 18, 1971 in Phoenix to L.T. & Mary Folks.  Sylvia worked for the City of Avondale for 28 years.  Ever since high school.  She loved her job and she loved her co-workers.  She treated them like they were her family.

Sylvia was always a strong minded, independent person.

She ALWAYS did everything for everybody else and never wanted anything in return.  If she had it, she gave it to you.  No questions asked.

Sylvia’s favorite saying was “Live, Love, Laugh”, and that’s what she lived by.

She loved everybody and put a smile on everybody’s face.  She always kept it real with you no matter what.  Whether you wanted to hear it or not!

She was loved by so many people and she will be missed dearly.

Words cannot describe the amount of life she gave off to those who would surround her but those who knew her will always remember the great amount of joy they received from every moment spent near her.

She will hold a special place in our hearts as we were all a part of hers.

Sylvia is preceded in death by her father, L.T. Folks Sr; and also her sister, Aqua Folks.  She is survived by her mother, Mary Lue Folks; 2 sisters, LaShella Folks & Nicole Folks; 4 brothers, Mickey Johnson, L.T. Folks Jr, Cleveland Folks & Terrell Folks; her sister-in-law, Veronica Perez; and her nieces & nephews, Brittany Huckaby, Porsha Folks, Tamyra Folks, Andre Folks, Roger Huckaby Jr, Marcis Folks, Richard Bustos (CJ), Terrell Folks Jr, Stephon Bennett, Jaedyn Humphrey, Ivan Huckaby-Larsen, Jeremiah Huckaby & Jeshua Folks.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 10, 2017 at 10:00am at Avenidas Funeral Chapel, located at 522 East Western Avenue in Old Town Avondale.
