Erlinda R. Montañez, 92, of Avondale, passed away on December 7, 2016 in Phoenix.  She was born on October 2, 1924 in Liberty, Arizona to Andres and Luisa.  Erlinda was a homemaker.

Erlinda is preceded in death by her husband, John Montañez Sr.  She is survived by 30 grandchildren; 90 great-grandchildren; and also 14 great-great-grandchildren. 

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Avenidas Funeral Chapel, located at 522 East Western Avenue in Old Town Avondale.  A service will be held at 12:00pm, also at Avenidas.  Burial will immediately follow the service at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, located at 2033 North 48^th Street in Phoenix.
