Macedonia Esparza, 80, of Cashion, passed away on April 25, 2014 in Goodyear.  Macedonia was born on March 3, 1934 in Tlahualilo, Durango, Mexico to Atanacio Llamas and Andrea Vega. She moved to Arizona 38 years ago.

Macedonia was a member of St. William Catholic Church Legion de Maria.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, David Esparza; 1 daughter, Jasmine Esparza; 2 sons, David Esparza and Richard Esparza; 1 brother, Tonio Llamas; 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Nona was a woman of God.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 from 5:00pm–8:00pm at St. William Catholic Church, located at 11018 West 3^rd Street in Cashion.  A Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at 10:00am, also at St. William Catholic Church, with Father Mario Garcia Icedo officiating.  Burial will immediately follow the Mass at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, located at 10045 West Thomas Road in Avondale.
