Judy Chiem Mills, 70, of Avondale, passed away on May 30, 2013 after losing her final battle with cancer. Judy was born March 10, 1943 in Udorn, Thailand.  Judy was a chef.

Judy is survived by her husband of 31 years, David Mills; 3 daughters, Debora Fernandez, Dawn Huyser, and Darren Mills; 3 sons, Gary Reed, Thomas Reed, and Robert Reed; several siblings in Florida and Thailand; 11 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.

Judy obtained her citizenship in February of 2006.  She was known at the Luke Officers’ Club for her cooking.  She was selected for and completed the Culinary Upgrade Program at Lackland Air Force Base in Texas.  Judy was awarded many quarterly employee awards at various places of employment.  She was also an avid fisherman.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 5 at 10:00am at Avenidas Funeral Chapel located at 522 East Western Avenue in Old Town Avondale.  A service will follow at 11:00am.  Burial will follow the service at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona located at 23029 North Cave Creek Road in Phoenix.
