Cesar Tomas Quiroz-Leon, 27, of Avondale passed away on May 1, 2011. He was born January 28, 1984, in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico to Maria Carmen Leon and raised by both his mother, Maria and his step-father, Francisco Peña in Atwater, California before moving to Avondale, Arizona in 2009. Cesar worked in modular home construction as a texturer, and was an avid soccer player and fan. He also enjoyed singing, with his favorite being Corridos, especially while serenading his mother. Cesar also enjoyed his mother’s enchiladas, or anything his mother would cook for that matter, or  a quick-stop at Jack in the Box on payday. Of all things in his life, Cesar was most proud of his family and his strong family values. It was important to him that he knew his family was safe when he was around. 

Cesar is survived by his beloved mother, Maria Carmen; his step-father, Francisco; his grandmother, Maria Perez; his brothers, Omar and Jose Manuel; and also his girlfriend, Manuela; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 7, from 4:00pm-6:00pm at Avenidas Funeral Chapel in Avondale. Service will follow the visitation starting at 6:00pm, also at Avenidas Funeral Chapel, with Deacon Jesus Uriel officiating. Interment will be held at a later date in Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexico.

Cesar Tomas Quiroz-León, 27, de Avondale fallecido el 1 de mayo de 2011. Nació el 28 de enero de 1984, en Culiacán, Sinaloa, México a Maria Carmen León y criado por su madre, Maria y su padrastro, Francisco Peña en Atwater, California antes de trasladarse a Avondale, Arizona en 2009. César trabajó en la construcción de casas modular como un texturer y fue un jugador de fútbol ávido y un ventilador. También le gustaba cantar, con su favorito ser Corridos, especialmente mientras dándole una serenata a su madre. Cesar también disfrutó enchiladas de su madre, o nada de su madre que cocinar para este asunto, o una parada rápida en Jack in the Box en el día de pago. De todas las cosas en su vida, César fue más orgulloso de su familia y sus fuertes valores familiares. Era importante para él que sabía que su familia era seguro cuando tenía alrededor. 

César es sobrevivido por su querida madre, María del Carmen; su padrastro, Francisco; su abuela, Maria Perez; sus hermanos, Omar y Jose Manuel; y también a su novia, Manuela; así como numerosos tías, tíos y primos. 

Visitación será el sábado, 7 de mayo, de 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm en la capilla funeraria de Avenidas en Avondale. Servicio seguirá la Visitación empezando a las 6:00 pm, también en la capilla funeraria de Avenidas, con el Diácono Jesus Uriel oficiante. Entierro se celebrará en una fecha posterior en Culiacán, Sinaloa, México.
