Eva A. Montiel, 62, of Avondale, passed away on December 28, 2013 in Glendale, Arizona.  Eva was born on January 4, 1951 in Stanfield, Arizona to Ernesto and Eva Alvarez.

 

Eva was a member of the Christian Worship Center of Glendale.  She fought a courageous battle with cancer.

 

Eva is survived by 1 daughter, Candy Rouse; 1 son, Oscar Montiel, Jr; her mother, Eva Alvarez; 2 sisters, Beatrice Posey and Connie Bojorquez; 3 brothers, Adam Alvarez, Rick Lujan, and Ruben Cordova; and 3 grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her father, Ernesto Alvarez; 1 brother, Martin Alvarez and 1 sister, Ernestina Mauricio.

 

Eva was loved by her family, friends, and all who knew her.  She passed on a gift of laughter and unconditional love to all.

 

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 3 from 10:00am-11:00am, at Harvest Church located at 8340 West Northern Avenue in Glendale.  A service will follow the visitation at 11:00am, with Pastor Lynda Espinoza officiating.
