Angel Joseph Oviedo, 24, of Avondale, passed away on October 28, 2015 in Avondale. Joey was born on July 23, 1991 in Phoenix, Arizona to Angelita Murrieta and Raymond Angel Oviedo. He attended La Joya High School in Avondale.

Joey is survived by his parents, Angelita and Angel; four sisters, Mariana Murrieta, Marissa Murrieta Angelita Murrieta, and Marina Murrieta; and seven brothers, Raymond Oviedo, Kevin Oviedo, Andrew Oviedo, Diego Oviedo, Lorenzo Oviedo, Jessie Oviedo, and Jasper Oviedo.

A visitation will be held on Monday, November 9 from 9:00am-12:00pm at Avenidas Funeral Chapel, located at 522 East Western Avenue in Old Town Avondale.  Service will take place at 10:00am, also at Avenidas.  A procession to his final resting place will immediately follow the visitation to Holy Cross Cemetery, located at 10045 West Thomas Road in Avondale.

  4. May God bless the family of Joey and all his siblings left behind, didn't know him very well but what I did know is he was a father figure to all his siblings and they all looked up to him. May he rest in peace and may God comfort his family in this moment of pain.
