Maria Yovana Arellano Marquez, 13, of Avondale, passed away on October 20, 2014 at her residence.  She was born on July 3, 2001, in Phoenix, Arizona to Margarita Marquez & Jose Martin Arellano.  Maria was a student, who strived to live every day to its fullest and to overcome her disability.

Maria is survived by her parents, Margarita Marquez and Jose Martin Arellano; 5 brothers, Martin, Jesus, Alejandro, Omar and Miguel Angel; and also her grandparents, Gabriel & Maria, Nicholas & Lucia.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Avenidas Funeral Chapel, located at 522 East Western Avenue in Old Town Avondale.  Services will be held on Friday, October 24 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, located at 539 East La Pasada Boulevard in Goodyear.  Rosary will be recited at 1:30pm, to be followed by the Mass at 1:45pm.  Burial will immediately follow the Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery, located at 10045 West Thomas Road in Avondale.
