Josie Rodriguez, 69, of Cashion, passed away on February 27, 2014 of natural causes in Tolleson, Arizona.  Josie was born on April 4, 1944 in Poteet, Texas to Albert and Ignacia Gonzales. Josie was a member of St. William Catholic Church in Cashion.

Josie is survived by her husband of 43 years, Ignacio Rodriguez, Sr.; 1 daughter, Teresa Garcia (Tim Garcia); 3 sons, Andrew, Ignacio Jr., and Ezequiel Rodriguez; 2 step-sons, Felipe and Enrique Rodriguez; her mother, Ignacia Gonzales; 4 sisters, Molly, Ramona, Sally, and Dolores; 6 brothers, Albert Jr., Ruben, Jesse, Domingo, Harvey and Elias; 3 grandchildren and 7 step-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jessica Rodriguez, her father, Albert Gonzales, and her sister, Alice TreviƱo. 

Josie was a beautiful devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a nurturing sister. 

She loved God and found his love in her many friends. She shared her generosity and her heart with everyone. Josie was close to all her family and her marriage of 44 years was a testament to the strong bonds of family. She was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed life outside the home at the casino, shopping and traveling. She enjoyed cheering on her favorite teams and players on the Phoenix Suns and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Her love will live on in all those she touched. 

Donations may be sent to Americare Hospice.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at St. William Catholic Church located at 11018 West 3rd Street in Cashion, with a rosary at 6:30pm.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, March 7 at 10:00am, also at St. William Catholic Church.  Burial will immediately follow the Mass at Louis B. Hazelton Cemetery located at 23100 West Broadway Road in Buckeye.
