Tommy Lee Washington

On Monday, December 5, 2011 at approximately 7:10am, our beloved father was called to rest.

Tommy was born on September 4, 1947, to Frankie Lee Washington of Centerville, Texas and Odell Roland of Malakoff, Texas.

Tommy leaves behind to mourn, his wife of 19 years, Frances Williams-Washington; his six children, Tonika and Tommy of Avondale, Angela and Stephen of Tennessee, Tommy Jr and Rhonda of Lubbock; and 2 step-children, Candy and Demond of Avondale.

Tommy was a grandfather to 43 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Tommy also leaves behind 6 sisters and 4 brothers. Irma Hooper, Idara Anderson, Bobby Washington of Dallas, Texas; Gloria Flowers, Mertie Lewis, Henry Washington, Johnny Washington, and Regina Thompson of Phoenix, Arizona; Ella Washington of Avondale, Arizona; and Willie Washington of Twenty-Nine Palms, California. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16 starting at 10:00am at New Testament Christian Church in Glendale. A Celebration of Life will follow the visitation starting at 11:00am, also at New Testament Christian Church with Pastor R.E. Hall officiating. A procession to his final resting place will follow the service to Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale.

  2. You alway smiled and each step in life was a joy for you. Tommy Lee I couldn't smile for awhile, oh how we miss you. I look at your children and our relatives and I see the joy that fostered your smile. It was them, the HIM in them, thank you for sharing the incredible blessing this family brings.
