Our loving daughter, Sofia Mireya Pedroza, 3 years old, was called home to be with the Lord on June 11, 2011. She began her journey on July 28, 2007 in Goodyear, Arizona with her parents, Sylvia and Adolfo Pedroza. A happy and fun-loving child, Sofia loved to play, sing and dance at her family’s church. She very much enjoyed listening to music while riding in the car, while she bounced around to the beat. When asked of her favorite places to eat, her response was always, “Pollo Loco”! Sofia loved spending time with her sisters and brothers, and especially her “Uba”. Though she could be an active child, at times she did enjoy the simpler things, like sitting in front of the cartoons on television, or playing with her two baby dolls, “Tillie” and “Hellie”. Though taken from us at an early age, we must rest assured that we hold comfort knowing that it was her time. The gift that was given to us in these three short years, was a light that shined the brightest. We must not look at that which we have lost, but instead look at that which was given to us, though hard to understand, Sofia is a part of a bigger picture.
Sofia is survived by her parents, Sylvia and Adolfo; her sisters, Lee Anne, Regina, Sylvia, Micaela, Clarita, and Leslie; her brothers, Reginald, David, Michael, and Ricky; and also her grandparents and numerous aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be Friday, June 17 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Iglesia Cruz del Calvario in Tolleson. Service will be held Saturday, June 18 at 10:00am also at Iglesia Cruz del Calvario. Burial will follow the service at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale.
Please feel free to share your condolences with the family and also your thoughts with friends. Perhaps a short funny moment or cherished time you spent with this loved family member who will sorely be missed and forever remembered.

Dear Family of Sofia Mireya Pedroza,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear the loss of your loved one, Sofia. It pains us losing a loved one but our Creator, Jehovah God reminds us at John 5:28, 29 that we can soon see our love ones and Revelation 21:3, 4 tells us soon death will be no more.
When a child dies, it is particularly hard for the mother. Thus the Bible acknowledges the bitter grief that a mother can feel. (2 Kings 4:27) Of course, it is difficult for the bereaved father as well. “O that I might have died, I myself, instead of you,” lamented King David when his son Absalom died.—2 Samuel 18:33.
The Bible makes the promise: “Your dead ones will live. . . . They will rise up.” And the Bible also says: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.”—Isaiah 26:19; Psalm 37:29.
I hope the above information will help you during this time of sorrow. If you have any questions, please contact me at comfortone4u@gmail.com.
With Deep Sympathy,
Tanya
