Kermit developed many interests and hobbies that he did not consider to be that of great difference in reference to others, but in reality were great accomplishments for a man of his skill and talent. He enjoyed much time working on his scooter (Harley) and enjoyed the peace of mind and freedom he experienced while riding it. His pastime was filled with leatherworking, writing and reading.  Kermit was an avid church participant who had very strong Christian beliefs and constantly strived to follow the words of the Lord. At the time of his passing Kermit was in the process of writing the memoirs of his life.

Kermit met the then Miss Sharron Lynne Enholder, in 1995 in Phoenix, Arizona, feeling a strong attachment for each other.  After a short courtship, they were married and enjoyed the friendship and love that they shared for 16 years.

  2. It was a blessing to have the opportunity to meet and talk with Kermit over the last several months that he attended the Valley church of Christ with his lovely wife, Sharon. Kermit always made such thought provoking comments during the bible classes and I always appreciated that. Kermit and Sharon's lovely grandchildren currently live with our Valley brethren, the Merkel's, and it is through this connection that I was blessed to meet them both.It was always a pleasure to see the joy on Kermit's face when he saw the grandchildren and they always looked forward to whatever he had to share with him that day. I am thankful for Kermit's service to our great nation. As an active duty service man's wife, I understand the great sacrifice that he made and the freedom we enjoy because of it. I am sorry that time did not allow for me to know him better, but am thankful to have met him. I look forward to seeing his lovely wife, Sharon, in the coming months at the services at Valley. My sincere sympathy and prayers to all of his family/friends. Many prayers-Vicki Craft

  3. I met Kermit about 35 yrs ago, amazing how we mellow with time, we were friends and as the years flew by, through mutual trust & respect we became close friends & brothers we saw some good times & a few not so good? And then God Blessed him with Sharon and from that point on I never saw him without a smile on his face, Kermit was a good guy, he cared for & expressed sincere concern for his family & friends and he will be dearly missed by all he knew .... We will ride together again someday, so untill then keep the shiny side up ..
